Effortless elegance for a special couple at Filoli. The bride and groom asked us to focus on wild flowers as much as possible to give their celebration a more effortless elegance. We brought on Sarah Winward to carry out this task keeping with the hints of yellow and blue that were punctuated in the design, mirroring the native flora of the botanical grounds on site. Sarah created the most beautifully flowered ceremony in the round for us, with symmetrical and functional seating that gave guests a dramatic environment to witness the couple's vows. The guests loved it as everyone felt important in this format. The bride's Oscar de la Renta gown with a bold yet sophisticated bow juxtaposed the sculpt embossing on the paper details and stunning metal trellis escort display which was brought to life with Yonder Design, adding dimension to a very fluid and organic environment. The couple and their loved ones dined and danced the night away in a custom steel blue greenhouse structure built on site, with tables adorned with some of our favorite tabletop wares including custom free-hand painted ceramic plates from Marie Daâge for a delicate, chic and refreshing touch.
