San francisco city hall

Eleni & Sujay are an inspiring, highly motivated, highly achieving couple. So it’s no wonder their wedding weekend was overflowing with love, style and fun. The couple planned not one but two weddings for their family and friends - the first of these was a beautiful Saturday civil ceremony attended by 267 guests at San Francisco City Hall.

The affair focused on intricate patterns in ivory tones, along with a spice-inspired palette of cinnamon, cumin, cardamom and chestnut colors. The ceremony in City Hall’s Rotunda was officiated by a close friend, and focused on the light ivory and beige palette already existing in the space. The bride honored her late mother during the ceremony, who passed away when she was just 6 years old, by sharing a touching recording her mother had made for her nearly 3 decades before.

The focal point of the cocktail hour on the Mayor’s Balcony was a beautiful iron piece constructed adorned with hundreds of Indian bells noting each guest’s table number. Guests then progressed to dinner in the North Light Court, which we transformed with golden and bronze-tones and floor-to-ceiling carved wood panels.

Following dinner (and a wardrobe change) Eleni & Sujay led guests to South Light Court for desserts and dancing. The red room decor was the richest and spiciest of the night, with a custom-designed dance floor and four Indian “cabana” lounges in the corners. Indian brocade fabric inserts on the rooms’ cocktail bars felt very rich and special. The highlight of the evening was Eleni’s show-stopping performance on drums with the band, after taking only just four lessons. Highly inspiring and fun indeed.
