BIG SKY, MONTANA
Photography LACIE HANSEN
Caroline and George were married in the heart of the West, at the groom's grandparents ranch in Montana. A combination of the bride's love of color and unexpected moments of whimsy coupled with spectacular Mother Nature played significant roles in the design of this multi-day celebration. We intertwined family rituals and a connection to this magnificent and special place into the weekend. Caroline’s unforgettable ceremony entrance began with a ride alongside her father in a close friend of the family's mint green vintage convertible. Found Floral did a beautiful job creating a serene ceremony with tall grasses amongst natural benches that felt as if it were built into the trees and rolling hills. After Caroline and George exchanged their vows, guests explored the sprawling property on their way to cocktail hour, where chilled martinis and cocktails awaited, on the lawn next to the pond and the log cabin style main residence. We mapped out a cut path to the dinner reception through the buckwheat field that made the perfect dramatic entrance to a Party Store Montana tent adorned with striped drapery for a fun evening ahead. Emily Baird created a signature crest for Caroline and George, seen throughout many personal touch points of the event. Guests enjoyed beautiful wines and a decadent meal of steak frites and danced all night to the sounds of a lively country western band.
