Belmond villa san michele

A 15th century monastery overlooking Florence, a warm Italian evening, two loving families and a bride with beautiful taste and style...the ingredients for a deeply spiritual and memorable wedding weekend

The Sunday wedding at the Belmond Villa San Michele began with Eli's signing of the Ketubah, while Fraida awaited his arrival at the Badeken. The Badeken is a beautiful ritual where the bride awaits the groom surrounded by the mothers, sisters and female guests who offer her prayers and well-wishes. When the groom arrives with the Rabbi and his family, he veils the bride for the ceremony.

The couple wed under a floral-covered chuppah on the top level of the Belmond's terraced property. Following the ceremony, guests cocktailed in the hotel's logge before invited to dinner in the Italian garden overlooking the city.

We worked with La Rosa Canina on the florals and event design, which reflected the regality of the Renaissance era atmosphere. As the sun set and the stars came out, guests enjoyed a fully Kosher dinner before dancing to Sensation Band (who lived up to their name).  The party continued into the wee hours of the morning.
